Cyfie Farm is in a remote and isolated spot, 1.5 miles from the nearest village (with a tea room and small quaint pub). The farm is at an altitude of 800 feet and the views across the width of Wales are a spectacular feature and can be seem from all our suites of rooms. A car is useful to get around as there is scant public transport although the neighbouring farm runs a taxi and minibus service which can be booked easily. The nearest railhead is at Welshpool some 14 miles away. We provide dinner on 3 nights to guest in our serviced accommodation. There are many types and difficulties of walks from the farmhouse and in the local area.
Good mobile phone reception outside and variable inside buildings with stone walls (good by all windows).
There is an almost complete absence of background traffic noise, although we are in a low fly zone and there is sometimes sudden aircraft noise. The sights and smells of the countryside are all around with a plethora of flora and fauna; there are badgers I the garden together with many types of birds which feed daily from feeders. The 2 summerhouses are reached across the gardens and have outdoor and indoor seating areas. Some very steep areas are not fenced off and are not intended for access.
